This is a large, whole-house remodeling project. When Showcase Kitchen & Design came into this house, nothing had been done. The clients were only still in the planning stages. A lot of different options were discussed before coming up with the proper solution for these homeowners. The goals were:

  • more natural light
  • more storage
  • adding an island or peninsula

The existing kitchen was small and had very little cabinet storage. Appliances were not as accessible as they should be, colors and wood were outdated. Taking out the wall between the dinette and formal dining living space gave more room to get creative. In place of the wall was put a built in hutch/buffet area.

Door ways were also shifted down to allow for more cabinets and a large peninsula/island to be used for food preparation and snack bar seating. Varied height cabinets and fluted column accents were used to give the room a 'dressier' look.

Cabinets used were decor frameless cabinetry, in natural maple finish, 3 1/2" crown molding. Silestone quartz counter tops will be used in kitchen, ebony pearl on all kitchen tops and rosa gray on buffet top. weathered nickel hardware.
